An ideology can sometimes be described as a "mental framework", but it can be defined as is a set of aims and ideas that deal with a person's goals, expectations, and actions.
The primary components of an ideology are evaluative beliefs. Some of the examples from the text book include Christianity, conservatism, patriotism, and immigration.
